Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool team will travel to Spain,
Marbella to train ahead of the Champions League final against Tottenham
Hotspurs.
The boss will have enough time to train his players ahead of
the huge game in Madrid.
The players will be given some days to recover from the fantastic
premier league season they had and also regain the energy they lost after
facing Wolves on the final day.
The team will leave Liverpool to Spain on Monday where serious
training begins.
Liverpool have held preparation twice in Marbella. Thus
where they prepared for last season’s final, and also where they spent some
time mid-season, so the team knows the place well.
The Reds are favourites to win the Champions League after eliminating Barcelona in the semi-final.
Spurs, on the other hand, were brilliant in Amsterdam as the
beat Ajax 2-3 to qualify after losing the first league at home.
Mauricio Pochetino’s men have already lost twice to Liverpool
this season with both ending 2-1.
Klopp is well-known to enjoy having time to implement his
ideas ahead of a match, so having more than a fortnight with an exclusive focus
on one game should play into the Reds’ hands.
It should also give sufficient time for Roberto Firmino to
recover from the injury that saw him miss the last couple of games of the
league season.
With plans now in place for a training camp, the countdown
to the final is on
