RATINGS OF LIVERPOOL FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON

Liverpool had a fantastic season accumulating 97 points which wasn't enough to win the league.

Man city the eventual winners continued from where they left off last season but won the league this time around with 98 points.

Here are the ratings of Liverpool players after the just ended Premier League 2018/2019 season.

ALISSON BECKER: Played all games this season. He was commanding and very solid. Had 77% saves. Ball playing, Goal  Keeper sweeper. 21 clean sheets.

TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD: Made 13 assists this season. Was very good going forward. Good defensively but not solid. scored 1 goal. Super player.

ANDY ROBERTSON: 11 assists this season. Creator and a solid defender.

JOEL MATIP: He was good in the final part of the season. Good reader of the game. Good passer. But injury Limited his campaign
6.5 out of 10

VIRGIL VAN DIJK: only one word SOLID. Top Defender. Has everything. Aerial abilities. Knows when to bring his calmness and agility.

FABINHO TAVARES: Had a poor start to his campaign. Picked up in December and after that, he has made the position his own. He is a destroyer, good tackler, good passer and a fantastic reader of the game.

JORDAN HENDERSON: He had an ok campaign. After his role was changed and his real position was known by the manager, he was is good.

NABY KEITA: He was slow but he picked up later on. Had 2 major injuries at the time he was gathering momentum. He wasn't bad.

MOHAMMED SALAH: He wasn't that clinical as he was last season but he was fantastic. 22 goals and joint top scorer. He maintained the golden boot and made 8 assist.

ROBERTO FIRMINO: He didn't get a stellar season like he was last season but he was above average. Scoring 12 goals in this campaign and struggling with injury.

SADIO MANE: Our revelation of the season. 22 goals. Most importantly scoring in the games we needed him the most. Liverpool were poor in the month of January but Sadio was in great shape. He saved us on a couple of occasions.

SUBSTITUTES

GEORGINO WJNALDUM: He was in the starting XI but lost his position. He shows his class any time he is brought on. He performed ok in the entire season

JAMES MILNER: He is ageing but it doesn't show in his performances. He is our Mr Reliable. He is our utility player and steps up anytime we need him.

DIVOCK ORIGI: He was an integral part of the team but it only showed right after Everton and the winning goal against Newcastle. Anytime a goal is needed he comes and deliver. He also had a bad campaign after his loan move fell out. He fell off the pecking order but he was able to find a way to the team.

XHERDEN SHAQIRI: He became rusty after having a good start in Liverpool.
more was expected from the Swiss after he scored 2 goals against Man United in December.

He gave a super assist for Origi to score the winner in Newcastle. He scored 6 goals

DANIEL STURRIDGE: Fell off the pecking order but had some good games for Liverpool this season.

JOE GOMEZ: Started very well but had a bad injury and wasn't able to come to the standard he set for himself. Very strong and agile.

DEJAN LOVREN: The was an improvement. He really improved but he is still not up to the standard.

ALBERTO MORENO: He was our flop of the season. He made an appearance which he was disastrous.

ADAM LALLANA: He was injured most of the time. 

ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN: He was injured for most of te season but made a substitute appearance against Huddersfield. 

SIMON MIGNOLET: Couldn't make an appearance in the league
